Hetz Midget Arborvitae forms an attractive dark green, globe shaped, compact mound of foliage. It is a slow growing shrub that maintains its wonderful globe shape without pruning. Hetz Midget is a dwarf cultivar from the native American conifer. Good winter interest. Common Name: American arborvitae. Good for coastal areas or other wet areas. Can be planted in containers or rock garden. Good choice for near a pool or pond. Plant as an accent in a mixed border. Excellent choice for a specimen shrub in an Asian garden.

Thuja occidentalis 'Hetz Midget' grows best in Full to Part Sun. It will grow 2 to 4 feet tall with a spread of 3 to 5 feet. Plant in zones 3 to 9. Tolerates black walnuts. Air pollution tolerant. Deer resistant.
