General Information
Red Balloon Viburnum is a deciduous shrub. It is larger in overall size, growing up to 8 feet tall. It grows in a rounded overall fashion, with great ornamental appeal. It works well in a variety of different landscaping areas. The foliage is oval in shape, with a thick texture. It stays a nice green color throughout the growing seasons. Large, abundant white flowers clusters bloom in the springtime. Berries follow, maturing to a very attractive red in the fall. More berries will be produced in a pollinating partner is nearby, such as Mohican or Alleghany Viburnum.

Viburnum x rhytidophylloides 'Redell' reaches a height of 6 to 8 feet, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Red Balloon Viburnum can grow well in full to part sun conditions. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
