General Information
Leatherleaf Viburnum is a semi-evergreen shrub. It can grow to be somewhat taller in height, at 10 feet tall. It has a generally rounded overall form. This shrub can fit well into a variety of landscaping areas. The foliage tends to be evergreen in southern areas. However, in the colder northern areas, many of the leaves are lost each winter. The leaves have a wrinkled appearance and are dark green in color. Abundant clusters of creamy-white flowers in the springtime. Berries follow the flowers. They are red in color, before transitioning to bluish-black in the autumn.

Viburnum rhytidophyllum will reach 6 to 10 feet in height, with a generally similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 5 to 8. Leatherleaf Viburnum can grow in full to partial sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. It is not known to have any serious disease or insects issues.
