General Information
Double Play Big Bang Spirea is a great plant that would work well in many different areas of your landscape. It is a smaller size shrub, growing 3 feet tall and wide. This shrub would look great in borders, as a low hedge along walkways or as a great accent plant in foundation plantings. It grows in an upright, rounded fashion, with a densely branched structure giving the plant a nice, full overall appearance. The leaves of this shrub are quite small, growing in an oval shape with serrated edges. The foliage has great 3 season color. It emerges with beautiful shades of orange and red in the spring, transitioning to greenish-yellow, before turning a wonderful golden yellow in the fall. Large, rounded flower clusters bloom from spring into the summer. The individual flowers are small with a bright pink color. Reblooming is encouraged by removing the spent flowers.

We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
