General Information
Glow Girl Spirea is an eye catching plant that is sure to fit in well within many areas of your landscape. This is a compact plant with dense foliage, giving it a very nice mounded appearance. The foliage emerges each spring in a gold color, as the season continues it tends to take on a light green hue. In the fall the foliage takes on brilliant orange color. Clusters of buds appear early in the spring in pink and open to brilliant white flowers.

Spiraea betulifolia 'Tor Gold' grows to a height of 3 to 4 feet and grow to a similar width. Glow Girl Spirea is recommended for a climate zone of 3 to 8. It can grow in Full to partial sun. Needs only a moderate amount of water, with a greater amount of frequency during dry times. The spring flowers are an attractor for hummingbirds and butterflies. Has deer resistance. Great in borders, or as a specimen in a container.
