General Information
Blue Chiffon Rose of Sharon is a very nice plant that would fit well in different areas of your landscape. This is a taller, upright growing shrub with a good deal of nice ornamental features. The foliage grows densely, providing a nice backdrop for the flowers. The leaves are oval in shape, and are light green in color. The flowers are large in size, and have a ruffled center area with smaller, lacy petals extending outward. The flowers have a beautiful lavender-blue color, with a few deeper purple highlights extending from the center. These flowers bloom all summer long. Great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds.
Additional Information
Hibiscus syriacus 'Notwoodthree' grows to a height of 8 to 12 feet, with a spread of 4 to 6 feet. It is recommended for climate zones 5 to 9. It grows best in full sunlight. Blue Chiffon does best in well drained soils with average amounts of moisture. Once established, it shows a good degree of heat and drought tolerance.
