General Information
The Aphrodite Rose of Sharon is a great shrub that can fit in many locations in your landscape. This is a moderate to larger size shrub, so proper placement for this plant is important. If a larger bed, or shrub border is needed, this would be an ideal plant for those purposes. This shrub generally grows in an upright manner, with a rounded overall form. It is densely branched, and when combined with the foliage, gives the plant a nice full overall appearance. The leaves are moderate in size, up to 4 inches long. They have three lobes, with widely rounded serrations. They have a nice dark green color during the spring and summer, without any fall color. The flowers are 5 petaled and 3 inches wide, blooming all over the shrub. The flower is colored pink, with a center eye colored dark red. These flowers have a long growing season from early summer into the fall.

We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
