General Information
Ginger Wine Ninebark is a deciduous shrub. It can grow to be larger in size, at 6 feet tall. It has a good deal of ornamental appeal, with a generally upright and rounded growth habit. The Ginger Wine Ninebark will fit well in a variety of settings. The foliage emerges a very attractive reddish-orange to green in the spring. It will mature to burgundy in the summer, before turning to reddish-orange again in the fall. There are abundant flower clusters in the late spring to early summer. The flowers are white in color, with very attractive bright red seed pods to follow.

Physocarpus opulifolius 'SMNPOBLR' reaches a height of 5 to 6 feet, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 7. Ginger Wine Ninebark tends to grow best when planted in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
