General Information
Lemon Candy Ninebark is a moderate sized deciduous shrub, growing up to 5 feet tall. It has a rounded overall shape and moderate growth rate. Lemon Candy is great in a variety of landscaping areas. The foliage creates a good deal of interest. The leaves are ruffled and a very nice yellow-green color. Very nice clusters of small white flowers in the spring. These typically grow towards the end of the branches. As the shrub matures, it develops very attractive peeling bark.

Physocarpus opulifolius 'Podaras 3' grows to a height of 3 to 5 feet, with a spread of 3 to 6 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 8. It can grow in full to partial sunlight. Lemon Candy does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. It is not known to have any serious disease or insect issues.
