General Information
Strongbox Inkberry is an evergreen shrub. It is smaller in size, reaching 3 feet tall. This shrub has a very attractive rounded shape and dense overall growth. The Strongbox Inkberry is a great choice as a boxwood alternative. It has great disease resistance qualities where boxwoods may have trouble. This plant will do quite well in a variety of different landscaping areas. The leaves are small and narrow, growing densely on the branches. They will be deep green in color, keeping a nice appearance year round. Small white flowers in the spring. Strongbox Inkberry will produce small black berries with a nearby pollinator.
Additional Information
Ilex glabra 'ILEXFARROWTRACEY' will be 2 to 3 feet tall, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 5 to 9. Strongbox Inkberry can grow in full to partial sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
