General Information

Lynwood Gold Forsythia is an ornamental deciduous shrub.  It is of moderate size, maturing to upwards of 9 feet tall.  It grows with upright, arching stems.  It provides a great burst of early spring color for a variety of landscaping areas.  This is typically one of the first plants to bloom in early spring time.  Lynwood Gold provides a profusion of flowers, from the base of the shrub to the top of the stems.  The flowers are a beautiful bright yellow in color.  After the flowers, the foliage emerges.  It is dark green in color, giving the shrub a nice appearance throughout the growing season.

Additional Information

Forsythia x intermedia 'Lynwood Gold' grows to a height of 6 to 9 feet, with a similar spread.  It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8.  Lynwood Gold can grow well in full to partial sunlight.  It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.

We treat your plant

like it's ours

  • Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.

When your plant
arrives

  • Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
