General Information
Kodiak Orange Diervilla is a ornamental deciduous shrub. It is moderate in size, growing to 4 feet tall. The size and visual appeal make it great for a variety of landscaping areas. This diervilla grows in an overall rounded and upright fashion. The foliage is quite attractive. It emerges orange in the spring, before transitioning to green throughout the spring and summer. In the fall, the leaves are a beautiful red-orange in color. In the summertime, there a clusters of smaller, trumpet shaped yellow flowers. These flowers are very attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds and bees.

Diervilla x 'G2X88544' grows to a height of 3 to 4 feet, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 7. Kodiak Orange can grow in full sun to full shade. However, the colors are better when planted in full to part sun. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
