General Information
Purple Pride Beautyberry is a delightful shrub. It is perfect in shrub borders, landscape beds and a variety of other areas. It has a mounded overall form, growing to 5 feet tall and wide. It has nice, oval shaped green foliage all through the growing season. Pale pink flowers form in clusters on the branches in the early summertime. After the flowers, fruits begin to form in clusters. These small berries mature to a lavender-purple color in the fall. These are very ornamental before frost, and even more so after the leaves have fallen. Cut berry stems are great for fall flower and ornamental arrangements!
Additional Information
Callicarpa dichotoma 'Issai' grows to a height of 3 to 5 feet, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA planting zones 5 to 9. It can grow in full to partial sunlight. Purple Pride does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.

We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
