General Information
Herbert Azalea is an evergreen shrub. In many areas, it may perform as a semi-evergreen shrub, losing leaves in cooler temperatures. It is smaller in size, growing 3 feet tall and wide. Herbert Azalea will provide a great pop of color to partly shaded areas. The leaves will grow densely, glossy and deep green in color. It will provide a nice appearance after the flowers are gone. The flowers will grow in great abundance in the springtime. They are deep pink in color, with small purple accent dots.
Additional Information
Rhododendron 'Herbert' will reach 2 to 3 feet tall, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Herbert Azalea tends to do best when planted in part shade conditions. It should be planted in a spot that is protected from harsher conditions. It does well with average amounts of moisture, in well drained soils.

We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
