General Information
Karen Azalea is an evergreen shrub. It may perform as a semi-evergreen shrub in some areas. It is rounded in shape, with an upright, slightly spreading nature. It will fit well in a variety of partially shaded areas of your landscape. The leaves are smaller and oval in shape. They have a slightly glossy appearance and are dark green in color. Karen Azalea will flower in abundance in the springtime. The flowers are quite attractive and are lavender-pink in color. This azalea is great for attracting hummingbirds and butterflies!
Additional Information
Rhododendron 'Karen' will reach 2 to 4 feet in height, with a spread of 3 to 5 feet. It is recommended for USDA planting zones 4 to 9. It will do better if planted in an area that protects it from the harshest of winter conditions. Karen Azalea will do best when planted in partial shade conditions. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
