General Information

Grey Owl Juniper is an evergreen shrub.  It is a lower growing shrub, at 3 feet tall.  It is multi-stemmed, spreading and densely growing plant.  It does well in a variety of landscaping areas and conditions.  The evergreen foliage grows in a scale-like form.  It is a very attractive grey-green in color, taking on a light brown tint occasionally in the winter.  Thee Grey Owl Juniper can be male or female plants.  The female plants will form grey to bluish-black berries.  These are attractive to birds in the fall and winter months. 

Additional Information

Juniperus virginiana ‘Grey Owl’ grows to a height of 2 to 3 feet, with a spread of 4 to 6 feet.  It is recommended for USDA climate zones 2 to 9.  Grey Owl tends to do best when planted in full sunlight.  It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
