General Information
Zestar!® Apple is an early season apple ripening in August. The zesty flavor is crisp and juicy, with a sweet brown sugar like taste. It is a selection of ‘State Fair x MN’. Good storage life that is longer than the other early apples. Self-fertile. Great for eating fresh or cooking. Great choice for your home orchard!
Additional Information
Malus ‘Minnewashta’ grows best in Full Sun. It will grow 7-10′ tall with a similar spread. Plant in zones 4 to 7. Cold hardy.
Care & Shipping Notes
Plant in average, well drained soil. No serious insect or disease problems. Good mildew , scab and fireblight, and cedar apple rust resistance. Woolly aphids may cause problems. Not especially cold hardy. NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THESE US STATES AND TERRITORIES: AK, HI, GM, PR, VI. Also, WE NO LONGER SHIP TO CALIFORNIA due to Department of Ag restrictions on live plants.
