General Information

Bright green foliage sets the Wintergreen Boxwood apart. The foliage of this attractive broadleaf evergreen changes to copper green in winter. Wintergreen Boxwood is an excellent plant for a low hedge or border. As one of the hardiest boxwoods, it is an excellent choice for cold northern climates. A wonderful choice for a foundation planting or informal garden. Use as a specimen or accent plant. Plant in mass for a carefree hedge.

Additional Information

Buxus microphylla ‘Wintergreen’ grows best in Full Sun to Part Shade. It will grow 18-24″ tall with a spread of 2-3′. Plant in zones 4 to 9. Deer and rabbit resistant. Plant in an area where the boxwood is sheltered from strong winter winds. Keep in mind that shipping size and height are an average of our plants and can vary by season.

Care & Shipping Notes

Plant in average, well drained soil. Prefers moist, sandy loam. Provide good drainage to prevent root rot. No serious insect or disease problems. Somewhat susceptible to leaf spot and blight. Good resistance to leaf miner, mites and psyllids. Prune as needed to maintain desired shape. Protect from cold winter winds. Apply mulch to protect roots from cold weather.
