White Pillar Hibiscus

General Information

White Pillar Hibiscus is a deciduous shrub. It is a tall shrub, growing upwards of 16 feet tall. It is quite unique, growing in very upright, columnar fashion at just 3 feet wide. Along with the ornamental quality, the size makes it ideal for a variety of landscaping areas. Deep green foliage gives the shrub a nice appearance through the growing seasons. The white flowers are large, single, with small ruffled petals at the center. They bloom abundantly from summer into the fall.

Hibiscus syriacus ‘Gandini van Aart’ reaches a height of of 10 to 16 feet, with a spread of 2 to 3 feet. It is recommended for USDA planting zones 5 to 9. White Pillar Hibiscus tends to do best when planted in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
