Virginia Waterleaf – Native
General Information
Virginia Waterleaf is a native perennial plant. It is native to the eastern half of North America. This native plant will grow well in woodland gardens or many partially shaded areas of your landscape. Virginia Waterleaf will grow in an upright fashion, with flowers held above a nice clump of foliage. The leaves are deeply cut, with a tough texture. They are medium green in color, keeping a nice appearance through the growing seasons. The flower clusters will appear late spring to early summer. They will be white to light lavender in color.
Additional Information
Hydrophyllum virginianum will be 12 to 24 inches tall, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Virginia Waterleaf tends to grow best in partial sunlight conditions. It will do well with average to moderate amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
