General Information
Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea Tree is a great addition to your home landscape. It has all of the same qualities as the regular shrub form hydrangea, but grown atop a central stem. The smaller size and ornamental appeal make it the perfect accent tree around your home landscape. Nice, medium green foliage gives the tree a good appearance through the growing season. The flower clusters are quite large, growing upwards of 7 inches long and 5 wide. They bloom in abundance from July to autumn. The flowers emerge bright white, changing to pink, transitioning to pinkish-red. The different clusters can mature at different times, giving the tree a multi-colored effect.
Additional Information
Hydrangea paniculata ‘Renhy’ grows to a height of 6 to 7 feet, with a spread of 5 to 6 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Vanilla Strawberry does well in full to partial sunlight. It performs well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
