General Information

Sungold Apricot is a fruit tree. It is a moderate sized tree, reaching 15 feet tall. This tree will have a largely upright and rounded overall growth habit. The tree will have attractive deep green foliage throughout the growing seasons. Abundant white flowers, typically mid to late April. The fruits are good size, with a nice golden exterior, blushed with red. The sweet, mild fruits are great for fresh eating, jams or a variety of other uses. Sungold will typically ripen mid to late July. They will require a pollinating partner, Moorpark or Debbie’s Gold are a good choice.

Additional Information

Prunus ‘Sungold’ will be 10 to 15 feet tall, with a spread of 12 to 18 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Sungold Apricot will tend to do best in full sun conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
