Summer Wine Ninebark

General Information

Summer Wine Ninebark has a fine texture and compact branching with dark foliage.  This fast growing ninebark add attractive color to your garden and blooms early summer with whitish pink button-shaped flower clusters.  This ninebark is recommended as a landscape shrub in groupings or masses and in perennial borders.  Great as a cut flower in a fresh floral arrangement.

Additional Information

Physocarpus opulifolius ‘Seward’  grows best in full sun.  It will reach a mature height of 5 to 6 feet with a similar spread. Plant in zones 3 to 8.

Care & Shipping Notes

Grows best in average well-drained soil.  Drought tolerant once established.  Apply slow release tree & shrub fertilizer in early spring.  Plant in an area with good air circulation to help prevent foliage problems.  Tolerates a variety of soil conditions.  Prune during late winter to encourage new growth.  Powdery mildew resistant.  NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THESE US STATES AND TERRITORIES: AK, HI, GM, PR, VI. Also, WE NO LONGER SHIP TO CALIFORNIA due to Department of Ag restrictions on live plants.
