Strawberry Candy Daylily

General Information

The Strawberry Candy Daylily is a great plant that may fit well into different areas of your landscape.  This plant is approximately two feet tall and wide, making it a moderate sized perennial.  It has a very interesting appearance, making it ideal for large plant beds, borders, along walkways or in massed plantings.  The foliage is quite interesting , taking on an overall mounded appearance.  The leaves are long and narrow, nearly grass-like in appearance.  They have a deep green color that provides a great backdrop for the flowers.  These flowers appear on stems above the foliage in the mid to late summer.  The flowers are a coral-pink color on the outer part of the flower, with a deep red section toward the center of the petal, and a yellow center eye.
