Starry Starry Night Hibiscus

General Information

Starry Starry Night Hibiscus is a delightful ornamental shrub.  It is great in borders, flower beds, as a focal plant and in a variety of other landscaping areas.  This shrub forms in an upright growing and overall rounded fashion.  The leaves are quite similar to maple leaves.  They are dark purple to black in color and are highly ornamental.  The flowers for this hibiscus are very large, at up to 8 inches wide.  They are light pink in color with darker pink veining and a dark red center eye.  They bloom beginning midsummer, continuing into the fall.  The flowers are great for attracting butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators!

Additional Information

Hibiscus ‘Starry Starry Night’ grows to a height of 3 to 4 feet, with a similar spread.  It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9.  It tends to grow and flower best in full sunlight.  Starry Starry Night does well with average to moderate amounts of moisture in well drained soil conditions.
