Description

Sprinter Boxwood

General Information

Sprinter Boxwood is an evergreen shrub.  It is smaller in size, growing in an upright, rounded overall fashion.  Small, evergreen leaves grow densely on the branches, giving the boxwood a nice, full appearance.  The leaves are deep green in color, with a glossy appearance.  It grows at a much faster rate than other boxwood varieties.  This makes it perfect for a low hedge, as a foundation planting or as a salt tolerant option along a driveway.  Shows great hardiness qualities and as an added benefit, it is deer resistant!

Additional Information

Buxus microphylla ‘Bulthouse’ grows to a height of 2 to 4 feet, with a similar spread.  It is recommended for USDA planting zones 5 to 9.  It can grow well in full to partial sunlight.  Sprinter does well with moderate amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
