Description

Seven Sons Tree

General Information

The ornamental, Seven Sons Tree forms a hardy clump that is similar to a Crape Myrtle. It has irregular, upright branches. The summer foliage is dark green and turns yellow in fall.  In late summer, fragrant, white blooms grace the tree. In the fall, the calyx of the flowers turn a brilliant red and continues its show for 2 to 3 weeks until hard frost. The bark provides great winter interest as the mottled tan bark exfoliates into strips. Good interest in summer, fall and winter. Beautiful specimen or accent tree. Plant as a screen or along a roadside. Great tree for smaller areas of the landscape.

Additional Information
