General Information

Serendipity Ornamental Onion is a great ornamental perennial plant.  It fits well in borders, flower beds, large containers and a variety of other landscaping areas. It grows as a nice clump of upright foliage, with flowers above.  The leaves are very narrow and grows quite densely.  They are a very nice blue-green in color.  If the leaves are crushed, it will emit an onion fragrance.  Abundant globe shaped flowers from mid to late summer.  They are a very nice pinkish-purple in color.  Serendipity Ornamental Onion is great for attracting butterflies and other pollinators!

Additional Information

Allium ‘Serendipity’ grows to a height of 15 to 20 inches, with a spread of 10 to 15 inches.  It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8.  It can grow in full to partial sunlight.  Serendipity Ornamental Onion does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
