Salvatore Blue Salvia is an ornamental perennial plant. This is a nice, size controlled plant, reaching to up 12 inches tall. It forms as a lower mound of foliage, with upright flower spikes held above. The size and ornamental appeal make it perfect for a variety of landscaping areas. The foliage is medium green in color, providing a nice appearance for the plant through the growing seasons. The flowers begin to bloom in the spring, continuing through the summer. The small flowers are abundant on the spikes, violet-purple in color. Great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds!

Salvia nemorosa ‘Salvatore Blue’ is 10 to 12 inches tall, with a spread of 6 to 8 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Salvatore Blue Salvia tends to do best when planted in full sunlight. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
