Royal Gala Apple

General Information

Royal Gala Apple is a delightful tree that would be great in your orchard.  It has nice ornamental properties, along with great fruit production.  This tree is an offshoot of the ‘Gala’ Apple tree.  It puts on a great display of white flowers in the springtime, providing a great early season ornamental display.  The apples are medium in size.  They mature to a red color, with yellow accents.  They have a sweet, slightly tart flavor, with firm, juicy and yellow-white flesh.  Great fresh or for baking and desserts.

Additional Information

Malus ‘Royal Gala’ matures to a height of 15 to 20 feet, with a spread of 12 to 18 feet.  It is recommended for USDA climate zones 5 to 8.  It grows best in full sunlight.  Royal Gala will grow best in fertile, well drained soils with average amounts of moisture.
