General Information
Rockin Red Dianthus is a very nice plant that is perfect for borders, flower beds or in containers. The leaves are long and narrow, growing densely on the stems. They are dark green in color. The flowers are nice, growing in large clusters. The individual flowers are smaller in size. They are bright red, with a pink center eye. They begin to bloom in the early summertime. They have a nice fragrance and are attractive to butterflies.

Dianthus × barbatus ‘Rockin Red’ grows to a height of 18 to 24 inches, with a spread of 10 to 12 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 5 to 9. They tend to do best when grown in full sunlight. Rockin Red does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
