General Information

Red Bloom-A-Thon Azalea is a semi-evergreen shrub. It will only do well in southern areas of the country, in zones 7 to 9. It provides a great burst of color in partially shade to filtered sunlight areas in the landscape. This shrub will retain leaves toward the end of the branches. The leaves are a very attractive dark green, providing a great backdrop for the flowers. The flowers are large and abundant, with a very attractive pinkish-red color. This azalea blooms in the spring over a long period. They then begin to bloom again in the summer, continuing to frost in the fall.

Additional Information

Rhododendron x ‘RLH1-1P2’ grows to a height of 3 to 4 feet, with a spread of 3 to 4 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 7 to 9. Red Bloom-a-Thon Azalea does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. It tends to do best when planted in partial shade.
