General Information
Raspberry Smoothie Hibiscus is an ornamental shrub. Moderate in size, upwards of 8 feet tall. Great for border, as an ornamental hedge or in a variety of other landscaping areas. It has very nice serrated deep green foliage, providing a nice appearance throughout the growing season. Large, abundant double flowers from mid summer into early autumn. The flowers are a very attractive deep pink in color. It has the added benefit of rarely re-seeding, a potential problem with other plants.
Additional Information
Hibiscus syriacus ‘DS03RS’ grows to a height of 6 to 8 feet, with a spread of 3 to 4 feet. It is recommended for USDA planting zones 5 to 9. It tends to grow and flower best in full sunlight. Raspberry Smoothie Hibiscus does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. Adaptable to a variety of soil and moisture conditions. Said to have good deer and rabbit resistance.
