General Information
Queen Victoria Cardinal Flower is a delightful perennial that will do well in your landscape. It is perfect for borders, flower beds or even in containers. It grows in an overall upright fashion, with a number of great ornamental qualities. The stems and leaves of the Queen Victoria are a deep burgundy in color. It does provide a very nice contrast for the flowers. The flowers grow in abundance on the top half of the stems. They are a very attractive orange to red in color. They bloom from mid-summer to early fall. Great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds.

Lobelia x speciosa ‘Queen Victoria’ grows to a height of 30 to 36 inches, with a spread of 12 to 18 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9. It tends to grow best in full sunlight. Queen Victoria does well with average to moderate moisture levels in generally well drained soils. All cultivars of Cardinal flower are excellent in rain gardens.
