General Information
Qing Grafted Chestnut was developed by the Bond Chestnut Farm and was grafted from a Chinese chestnut. This graft provides a more uniform harvest time, better quality nuts, and larger nut size with more consistent yields. In late spring or early summer, flowers appear as long male and female catkins. Qing Grafted has good uniformity and vigor. Excellent disease resistance. Great edible nut tree for your landscape. Enjoy watching the wildlife visit your tree!
Additional Information
Castanea mollissima ‘Qing Grafted’ grows best in Full Sun. It will grow 30-60′ tall with a spread of 20-40′. Plant in zones 4 to 8. Attracts hummingbirds and other game birds.
