Pikes Peak Beardtongue

General Information

Pikes Peak Beardtongue is a great perennial plant.  It is moderate in size, growing to 14 inches tall. This size and ornamental appeal make it ideal for a variety of landscaping areas.  It forms as a mound of foliage with flowers largely held above.  The leaves are narrow and deep green in color.  They keep a nice appearance throughout the growing season.  The flowers are tubular in shape, violet-purple in color, with a white throat.  They bloom over a long season from June into August.  Attractive to a variety of pollinators!

Additional Information

Penstemon x mexicali ‘P007S’ grows to a height of 14 to 18 inches, with a spread of 12 to 14 inches.  It is recommended for USDA planting zones 4 to 8.  Pikes Peak Beardtongue does well in full to partial sunlight.  It grows well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.  It can be adaptable to a variety of conditions. Keep in mind that shipping size and height are an average of our plants and can vary by season.
