General Information
Piglet Fountain Grass is a warm season ornamental grass. It is small in size, reaching to 18 inches tall. It tends to grow in an upright, dense overall fashion. The smaller size makes it ideal for a variety of landscaping areas. The leaves grow in a clump to just 8 inches tall. The upright, narrow leaves are a very attractive deep green through the spring and summer months. Bottlebrush shaped flower heads form mid to late summer. They are white in color with a pink tint. They mature to tan colored seed heads in the fall.

Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Piglet’ reaches a height of 8 to 18 inches, with a spread of 18 to 24 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 5 to 9. Piglet Fountain Grass get grow well in full to partial sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. It is not known to have any disease or insect issues.
