Petit Bleu Caryopteris

General Information

Petit Bleu Caryopteris is a great plant that will fit well into many different areas of your landscape.  It is commonly used in borders and beds, but could be planted in containers as well.  It is a very small plant, growing in a low, compact fashion.  It has different points of interest that lend itself to this plants’ overall quality.  The shrub has an overall full look, with small oval to elliptical foliage.  The foliage has a nice green color throughout the growing season with glossy appearance.  It emits a nice fragrance when touched or moved in some fashion.  The flowers individually are very small, growing in clusters toward the end of the branch.  They have a good dark blue color.  These flowers appear in July and last into September, providing a great splash of late summer color.
