Pee Wee Hydrangea

General Information

Pee Wee Hydrangea is a flowering deciduous shrub.  This is a compact hydrangea, growing to 3 feet tall and wide.  It typically grows in an overall upright, rounded fashion.  This shrub has deep green leaves, reminiscent of oak leaves.  The leaves are very appealing in the fall, turning colors of bronze, maroon and purple.  The flowers bloom in abundance beginning early summer, continuing for 2 months or so.  The clusters narrowly pyramidal in shape.  They emerge white, before taking on a pinkish tint.
