Patriot Blueberry
General Information
Patriot Blueberry is a fruiting shrub. It is moderate in size, reaching about 4 feet tall. This plant has a nice rounded form, with great ornamental as well as the fruits! The Patriot Blueberry is a great choice for your orchard and in the landscape. This shrub has attractive dark green foliage in the spring and summer months. The leaves will be a very attractive reddish to orange in the fall. Pinkish-white spring flowers, followed by berries in June. The blueberries are dark blue in color. They are great for fresh eating, baking, desserts and a variety of other uses. The Patriot Blueberry is self pollinating, but may benefit from having another blueberry nearby.
Additional Information
Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Patriot’ will be 3 to 4 feet tall, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 7. Patriot Blueberry will tend to do best in full sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
