General Information
Onyx and Pearls Beardtongue is an ornamental perennial plant. It can grow taller in size, reaching 40 inches tall. The plant is largely upright, with flowers held above the foliage. The leaves are dark green, with deep purple overtones. They keep a nice appearance throughout the growing seasons. The flowers bloom abundantly beginning in the early summertime. The tubular shaped flowers are white in color, with some lavender overtones. The flowers are very attractive to hummingbirds and other pollinators!
Additional Information
Penstemon ‘Onyx & Pearls’ reaches 38 to 42 inches in height, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 8. Onyx and Pearls Beardtongue tends to do best in full sun conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
