Description

Moonbeam Coreopsis

General Information

Moonbeam Coreopsis is a great plant that could fit well in different areas of your landscape.  This forms a compact clump of foliage and beautiful flowers.  The foliage is grey-green in color and is very narrow in general.  The foliage is why this type of coreopsis is referred to as thread leaf coreopsis.  Abundant flowers in summertime.  The flower petals are pale yellow in color, with a darker yellow center eye.  After the flowering has finished, the plants should be sheared, to promote the opportunity of a fall rebloom.

Additional Information

Coreopsis verticillata ‘Moonbeam’ grows to a height of 18 to 24 inches, with a similar spread.  It is recommended for climate zones 3 to 9.  It tends to grow best in full sunlight.  Moonbeam grows best in well drained soils with average moisture amounts.  It will however do well in a variety of soil and moisture conditions.  This plant will not self seed, but can spread by rhizomes (roots).  It is not known to have any serious disease or insect issues.
