General Information
Lyrical Blues Salvia is a delightful perennial plant. The size and ornamental appeal of the plant makes it perfect for a variety of landscaping uses. The plant grows in an overall upright fashion, with flowers held above the foliage. The foliage grows in a compact clump, with a nice grey-green color. The flowers grow from early to late summer on spikes. The flowers are a beautiful violet-blue in color, with small burgundy accents. These flowers are quite attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. The cut stems are great for cut flower arrangements.
Additional Information
Salvia nemorosa ‘Balyriclu’ grows to a height of 20 to 24 inches, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9. It tends to grow and flower best in full sunlight. Lyrical Blues does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. It is said to have good drought tolerance, once established.
