Little Princess Spirea

General Information

Little Princess Spirea is a deciduous shrub. It is a small ornamental shrub, reaching up to 2 feet tall. This spirea grows in a dense, upright and rounded overall fashion. It is perfect for a variety of landscaping areas. Little Princess has toothed, oval shaped leaves. They are deep green in color during the spring and summer months, taking on reddish tones in the fall. There are abundant clusters of of flat topped flowers in the late spring to mid-summer time period. The flowers are a very attractive light pink in color. These flowers are quite attractive to butterflies.

Spiraea japonica ‘Little Princess’ reaches a height of 18 to 24 inches, with a spread of 2 to 3 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Little Princess tends to do best when planted in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. It is not known to have any serious disease or insect issues.
