Lemon Queen Pollinator Sunflower
General Information
Lemon Queen Sunflowers are a great choice for your garden. The seeds are from Renee’s Garden seed company. These sunflowers grow quite tall, with abundant flowering. The plants have a nice, strong center stock and deep green foliage. The flowers are 4 to 6 inches wide, growing in broad clusters. The flower petals lemon-yellow in color, with a brown center seed cluster. The flowers are very attractive to butterflies, bees and other pollinators. Birds are attracted to the seeds in the fall. The sunflower plants can grow upwards of 5 to 9 feet in height. Each of the seed packets will contain approximately 33 to 37 seeds.
Additional Information
Plant the seeds directly in the garden once temperatures remain above 50 degrees at night. Plant seeds an inch deep at 4 to 5 inch spacing. Thin plants to 12 inch spacing to allow for full growth potential. Seeds typically germinate in 8 to 10 days.
