Description

Lady in Red Fern

General Information

Lady in Red Fern is a very interesting plant that can be used in many shade garden situations.  It is clump forming, with many fronds showing off the plants great qualities.  The foliage forms from the top to bottom of the stems.  The light green leaves take on a long, narrow form.  They grow in a pinnate fashion(or many narrow, small leaflets comprising the body of the leaf).   After a couple of years to mature, the stems take on a burgundy shade.  The color and style of this plant provide a great contrast for the Hostas, Coral Bells or many other plants in your shade garden areas.
