Description

Laced Up Elderberry

General Information

Laced Up Elderberry is a deciduous shrub. This is a tall shrub, growing up to 10 feet tall. It will grow in a narrow, upright overall fashion. It works well as an accent shrub in a variety of landscape settings. There are abundant flat topped flower clusters beginning in the early summer. They are light pink in color. If a pollinating partner is close by, berries are produced in the late summer to fall. The leaves are feathery and deeply cut. It is a very attractive dark purple to black in color.

Additional Information

Sambucus nigra ‘SNR1292’ reaches a height of 6 to 10 feet, with a spread of 3 to 4 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 7. Laced Up Elderberry does well in full to partial sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
