General Information
Jewel Toned Beets will be a delightful addition to your garden. They provide great visual appeal to go along with there great taste. This packet of seeds contains three varieties of beets: Red Sangria, Golden Beets and Striped Chioggia. They are burgundy, golden-yellow and red with a striped interior. The beets can be used for greens, when smaller or for fresh eating and other cooking uses when fully grown. The seeds are from Renees Gardens seed company. Each packet is 5 grams, containing approximately 450 seeds.
Additional Information
The seeds should be planted once the danger of frost has passed. Seeds can be planted, depending on location, from February to June and for fall planting in August to September. The seeds can be planted in rows, broadcast over an area or planted in containers. Plant at a depth of one inch, spaced one inch apart. Thin later to let the beets achieve full sized growth. The beets reach maturity approximately 55 days after planting.
