Island Breeze Hosta
General Information
Island Breeze Hosta is a perennial plant. This is a shorter hosta, reaching to 12 inches tall. It will have nice foliage, with flowers held above. The Island Breeze Hosta will provide a great pop of color to shaded areas of your landscape. The leaves will emerge in the spring with deep green edges and a yellow interior. As the season continues, the interior will be lighter yellow in part sun or chartreuse in shaded spots. Bell shaped lavender flowers bloom in the mid-summertime. The stems of the leaves and flowers are reddish in color, providing a great contrast to the other color of the plant.
Additional Information
Hosta ‘Island Breeze’ will be 10 to 12 inches tall, with a spread of 15 to 18 inches. Flower stems may extend up to 28 inches high. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Island Breeze Hosta will do best when planted in full to part shade conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
