Improved Helenor Classic Rutabaga
General Information
Improved Helenor Rutabaga is a nice addition to your vegetable garden. These seeds are from Renee’s Garden seed company. The rutabagas grow well, producing an abundant crop. The Helenor Rutabagas will have nice green foliage. The rutabaga will be violet to purple at the top, white to the base of the root. The interior will be yellow and a nice texture and delightful flavor. The roots at full maturity will be softball to tennis ball in size. They are great when roasted or sautéed. Each of the seed packets will contain approximately 120 seeds.
Additional Information
Seeds are typically planted midsummer. Should be sewn half an inch deep, 2 inches apart, in rows 12 inches apart. Once the seedlings have been established, thin to 6 inch spacing to allow for full growth potential. Seeds will germinate in 10 to 14 days. 85 to 90 days until harvest.
